Football 7-a-side is played by athletes with cerebral palsy. It was included in the Paralympic Games program in 1984 (in the US and the UK) and in the Rio 2007 Parapan American Games. FIFA rules are applied to this discipline.
The game is played on a reduced field of play and the teams are made up of seven players including the goalkeeper. There is no offside rule, and throw-ins or rolling the ball back onto the field of play are allowed.
