The past September 1st we all were part of the well-deserved tribute that Lima 2019 paid to the participating Para athletes

Lima 2019 honored all the participating Para athletes the past on September 1st at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games Closing Ceremony. We supported each courageous Para athlete, who was able to show us that there are no obstacles to achieving our goals.

In the middle of a show led by top-level artists, we ssaid goodbye to the Lima 2019 Parapan American Torch and thanked for the great experience of hosting the Games in Lima.

Parapan American Games Closing Ceremony Venue

The Athletics Stadium in the National Sports Village (VIDENA), which is of Olympic grade, was the venue for the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games Closing Ceremony. It also housed the athletics and Para athletics competitions, and received over 700 athletes from all over the continent. The athletics track in this stadium is similar to the one used in the London 2012 Olympic Games and the one that will be used in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
