We all witnessed the Opening Ceremony of one of the most important international sporting events. On that dat you joined us and you were part of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games Opening Ceremony, where 41 delegations of athletes did their best in each competition.

We also had fun with an amazing show that had an incredible display of forty-one delegations and more than a thousand artists including dancers, acrobats and live musicians. We all ejoyed the Lima 2019 experience!

Lima 2019 Opening Ceremony Venue

Also called José Díaz, the National Stadium of Lima is the most important venue in Peruvian sports and is part of the heritage of our country. It was witness to the excitement of over 30 thousand people during the Lima 2019 Pan American Games Opening Ceremony.

The National Stadium was inaugurated in 1897

It's located in Santa Beatriz, district of Lima

The "Coloso José Díaz" has a maximum capacity for 49,086 spectators. The four tribunes hold 39,086, and 10,000 people can enter the boxes.
Peru qualified for the World Cup at the National Stadium

After 36 years, this stadium witnessed the classification of the Peruvian team to Russia 2018

From the 1982 Spain World Cup, Peru did not qualify for a World Cup. Peru beat New Zealand 2-0 with more than 30 thousand spectators.
National Sports Laurels

The National Stadium keeps the national sports laurels of the most outstanding athletes of our country.

National athletes such as Sofia Mulanovich, Alexandra Grande, Piccolo Clemente, Marcela Castillo, among others, received sporting laurels that are displayed at the National Stadium.
