Para cycling track
This Para sport includes Para athletes with a physical impairment, cerebral palsy and amputations, who compete in bicycles, tricycles and handcycles. It made its Parapan American debut at the Mar del Plata 2003 and Guadalajara 2011 Games.
These events take place in a velodrome. Athletes compete in individual pursuit and time trial events of 200 m to 4 km. In the time trial event, athletes compete alone and from a set start. In individual pursuit, two opposing athletes start at opposite ends of the track.
