The new minister of Economics, María Antonieta Alva, met with the president of the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games Organizing Committee, Carlos Neuhaus Tudela. In this meeting, they discussed the challenges of improving the execution of investment projects, according to the ministry itself.

It is worth noting that the success of the Lima 2019 Games was achieved by applying several mechanisms that enabled rapid budget execution, including the Government-to-Government agreement with the UK, which supported the management of the construction works execution model, the incorporation of the Project Management Office (PMO) and the NEC contract (New Engineering Contract), which allowed moving forward with construction without stopping.

This is a new model of public management that stands out for its view on legacy, technical assistance and transfer of knowledge, all possible thanks to the Government-to-Government Agreement.
