Cañete river – Lunahuaná

Río Cañete is located in the central coast of Peru, in the department of Lima. It is a short river on the Pacific slope, just 220 kilometers in length, with a 2% average slope that in some steeper areas goes up to 8%.

It was due to these traits that this natural space was chosen as the perfect venue for the canoe slalom and extreme canoe slalom competitions.
