Wheelchair Basketball
Wheelchair basketball is based on the rules of conventional basketball and is a fast, exciting and rough Para sport. It was included since the first edition of the Parapan American Games in Mexico City in 1999. It is common to see wheelchair tips and collisions. Players move the ball around the court by passing or dribbling it in an attempt to throw it into the opponent’s hoop.
The team with the highest number of points scored wins. If scores are tied, extra 5-minute periods will be played until there is a winner.
