Sport review
Sailing is a nautical sport consisting of controlling a boat propelled only by the wind. Sailing competitions began in 1851 in England and made its debut at the Paris 1900 Olympic Games.
The Lima 2019 Pan American Games included events for different classes of sailboats. Three of the classes only included women's crews, (Laser Radial, RS:X – F, and 49er FX), two of them were men's (Laser Standard, 49er and RS:X - M), and two were open.
