PERU WANTS TO CLOSE THE PENULTIMATE DAY OF COMPETITIONS WITH TWO GOLD MEDALS IN PERUVIAN FRONTON
Kevin Martínez and Claudia Suárez are the favorites to win the competition in Villa María del Triunfo. We will also compete at the sailing and rowing finals.
We are only one day away from the Closing Ceremony of the Pan American Games, and Peru will seek to reaffirm its status as host, searching to have a golden finale with the two gold medals it hopes to achieve in Peruvian fronton.
Claudia Suárez and Kevin Martínez are the favorites to reach the top of the podium in the Peruvian fronton competition, which will be held at the Villa María del Triunfo Sports Center. They will be difficult duels, but the greater experience and the fact that we are competing at home should work out well for the Peruvians.
Meanwhile, the final of sailing will be held at 12:30 in the Bahía de Paracas with a series of competitions that will be a challenge for the most skilled sailors of the event. In this final competition, Peruvian Renzo Sanguinetti will plow through the oscillating waters with his boat in this Sports center to reach the gold medal in the open boat sailing category. Meanwhile, the judo competition will be held at the VIDENA Sport Center 1, with the participation of Peruvian Yuta Galarreta, who is having a great moment in his career, and Luis Ángeles.
The best fencers will compete at the Lima Convention Center to reach the Lima 2019 podium in different competitions such as sabre and foil. The competitions will be in the closing of this sport from 09:00 to 18:00.
In bodybuilding, sport that makes its debut in the Pan American Games, the winners of the gold medals in classic bodybuilding and fitness will be determined at 16:00 in the Mariscal Cáceres Coliseum. The complete competition will be held in one day.
In men's football, Argentina and Honduras will fight to win the gold medal. Mexico and Uruguay will compete for the bronze medal. Matches will start at 17:30 at the San Marcos Stadium.
Chile and USA will face each other for the bronze medal in the women’s hockey competition held at the Villa María del Triunfo Sports Center starting at 15:00. Immediately, Argentina, with their team known as “Las Leonas’’, will face Canada to get the gold medal at 17:15.
WRESTLING IN CALLAO
Additionally, the best wrestlers of the Americas will compete at the ring of the Miguel Grau Coliseum at 10:00 in the different categories of freestyle, such as 84 kg, 125 kg, 74 kg, and 86 kg in the men’s and women’s category. Peruvians will be present in the competition.
A hard competition will be held at the VIDENA Aquatics Center from 11:00 to 22:10, where the largest representatives of the Americas will compete to get the gold medal in different swimming styles such as 1500 m freestyle, 200 m individual medley, 4x100 m freestyle relay, etc.
At 10:00 in Costa Verde, roller skaters will show their level of speed and balance on the rink in the competitions for the gold medal in 500 meters, 10000 meters, among others.
In the competition circuit of road cycling, located at the Costa Verde, two finals for the gold medals in the men’s and women’s events will be held at 09:00.
