LIMA 2019 PROVIDES RECOMMENDATIONS TO ATTEND THE CLOSING CEREMONY

The streets around the National Stadium will be closed.

Grand Finale Almost 50,000 people will attend the Closing Ceremony of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games on August 11 at 18:30 in the National Stadium. The main show will be in charge of Gian Marco and the National Folkloric Ballet.  

It should be noted that tickets for this ceremony are sold out so no tickets will be sold in this place. Spectators must present their ID and ticket, including minors and senior citizens. The Lima 2019 Closing Ceremony will be a "diversity show".  

Given the expectation, the Organizing Committee of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games (COPAL) and the Peruvian National Police (PNP) have taken security measures and provided recommendations to spectators, one of them is about public transportation:  

Before Leaving Your Home 

  • Remember that the National Stadium gates open at 15:30. Keep in mind that seats are not numbered, with the exception of the western grandstand.  

  • All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  

  • Do not bring: 

  • Plastic or glass bottles. 

  • Banners, bicycles, scooters, weapons, aerosols, alcoholic beverages or unprocessed food. 

  • Pets. 

  • Only packaged products with sanitary registration will be allowed.  

How to Get to the National Stadium 

  • To get to the National Stadium, use the public transportation available in Lima. 

  • Do not come with particular vehicles. 

  • The vehicle and pedestrian access for everyone is through Av. Paseo de la República, Av. 28 de Julio, Av. Arequipa and Av. Salaverry. 

  • Pedestrian entry with tickets will be through Av. Paseo de la República and Calle Jose Díaz. 

  • Pedestrian and vehicle access with accreditation (press, suppliers and Lima 2019 Organization Committee) will be through Av. Petit Thouars, Calle José Díaz, Jr. Manuel Corpancho, Jr. Saco Oliveros, Jr. Madre de Dios and Alameda de la Integración. 

Entrance Gates  

According the stand area you are going to, entrance gates are:  

  • East: gate 1 

  • South: gate 2 

  • West: gate 3 

  • North: gate 4 

  • Boxes: Two accesses; between Av. Paseo de la República and Calle Jose Díaz and between Alameda de la Integración and Paseo de la República. 

Road Closures  

The streets adjacent to the National Stadium will be closed from 00:00 on Sunday, August 11, to 16:00 on Monday, August 12. Therefore, we urge the citizens to respect the security measures and be good hosts. #LetsAllPlay in these Pan American Games.
