COLOMBIA BRINGS ITS 174 BEST PARA ATHLETES TO LIMA 2019
Para cyclist Alejandro Perea, C2 world champion (physical impairment) will be the flag bearer of the Colombian delegation in the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games opening ceremony.
The Colombian delegation for the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games comprises a total of 174 Para athletes. Competitions will start on August 22, and the opening ceremony will be held at the National Stadium.
The flag bearer of the Colombian delegation will be Para cyclist Alejandro Perea, who received the flag from Iván Duque, President of Colombia. Perea is a Para cycling world champion in the C2 category (physical impairment).
He also set a new world record in the 1 km competition with 1:12.838 in the championship held at Apeldoorn, Netherlands. One year before, he won two gold medals at the World Championship in Brazil.
Perea will compete at the velodrome of the VIDENA, where the Para track cycling competitions will take place. Competitions will take place on August 26 and 27. Colombia will bring to Lima 2019 a powerful Para cycling team, which will also include Rio 2016 Paralympic medalists Diego Dueñas and Edwin Matiz.
Colombia will compete in 16 Para sports and increased its number of Para athletes from 132 to 174, compared to the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games. In the five previous editions, the Colombian delegation has collected 193 medals: 51 gold, 80 silver, and 62 bronze.
LIMA 2019 TICKET SALES
Tickets to attend the Parapan American Games opening and closing ceremonies and competitions are already available for sale from 10 soles. There will be a 50% discount for children under 18, senior citizens and people with an impairment.

In the case of e-tickets, printing will no longer be necessary since customers can show their e-ticket from their mobile phones at the entrance of the sports venue.
