1. REAL FELIPE FORTRESS

Built in the 18th century, this fortress played a key role in many battles that would later shape the future of our history. Best of all: Guided tours are available starting at PEN 10 (PEN 15 if you are foreigner).

2. MONUMENTAL CALLAO

A great cultural and artistic option. This building and its surroundings are regularly home of various art exhibitions, design stores and restaurants. Also, if you visit this place on a weekend, you will probably find a rooftop concert. This area can be visited for free, but concerts may have a cost.

3. LA PUNTA

We know this is not the best time of the year to dive into the ocean, but that does not mean you cannot visit this colorful district and contemplate the dawn over the sea. Not to mention the exquisite restaurants nearby.

4. ISLAS PALOMINO, SAN LORENZO Y FRONTÓN

This experience can be summarized in four words: swimming with sea lions. We know, it is cold; but, unless you plan to return to our country any time soon, this is an experience you cannot miss. Various tour companies are available to assist you with this adventure. You only have to choose the one that better fits your budget.

5. ABTAO SUBMARINE MUSEUM

Lastly, you can take a tour inside the Abtao Submarine Museum, the first floating museum in Latin America.
