The Lima 2019 Pan American Games come to an end this August 11! If you thought that the opening ceremony was amazing, you can’t imagine the closing ceremony! Even though we will continue with the Parapan American Games, the first sporting event deserves a closing as incredible as the exploits of the best athletes of the Americas who visited our country. In this article, we will tell you a little about the other closing ceremonies to encourage you not to miss a second of this mega event.

Just like the Lima 2019 opening ceremony, this show was also developed by Balich WorldWide Shows, and will feature over 1700 artists, including dancers, acrobats, and musicians. This ceremony is usually more casual than the opening, as athletes are more relaxed after obtaining their incredible results. A grand finale for a fantastic event!

The official handover to the next host city, Santiago de Chile, is also done.      But in Canada...! In Toronto 2015, we impressed the world. In the video above, you can see the 12-minute presentation of Peru that included our national anthem and typical dances such as huayno, danzas de tijeras and marinera norteña.

The award-winning Peruvian artists who were in charge of the opening ceremony were also called for the closing ceremony. Renowned Lucho Quequezana states: “We’re working hard for the closing ceremony, and it’s incredible. It’s different but as spectacular as the opening ceremony. It’s touching because it is a good-bye, but I cannot spoil it (...); we’re going to show the contemporary, mixed-raced, global, diverse Peru in a different way. You will be surprised.”
