In regard to the Andrés Avelino Cáceres Sports Center, the main grandstands were already placed on stadiums for hockey, rugby, baseball and softball, and the works in the dressing rooms, administrative offices and complementary areas are in progress.
There is significant progress in the construction works of the fronton and Basque pelota courts. Also, lifting works of the roof metallic structure for the Aquatic Center are ready to get started.
The Andrés Avelino Cáceres Sports Center in Villa María del Triunfo, venue for the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games, will have a lighting system for the courts and sports fields to practice team sports at night.
In this way, the sports center will also leave as a legacy fully illuminated sports fields for the practice of hockey, rugby, baseball, softball, swimming, fronton, among others.
This venue of the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games shows significant progress in infrastructure works in different stages, which will ensure established schedules are met.
Compaction of Sports Fields
It should be noted that compaction works are being carried out in all team sports fields, in order to place, within a very short time, high-level field synthetic grass for hockey, rugby, baseball and softball.
Also partition works are being executed in the stadiums to separate the facilities. Villa María del Triunfo will also host the following Para sports at the Parapan American Games: football 5-a-side and football 7-a-side.
The construction project in Villa María del Triunfo also shows progress in the modern Aquatic Center, where water polo competitions will be held during the Pan American Games. Pre-fabricated elements for the stands have already been placed. In the same way, the metallic structure for the roofing of the Aquatic Center is already in place and ready to be lifted. Once the roof is completed, the pool will be installed for the official competitions, and the finishing works of this venue will be carried out.
The construction project in this venue also includes the installation of the recirculation, treatment and heating systems of the swimming pool. This new and modern Aquatic Center will remain as a legacy for Peruvian sports and will be similar to the one that is being built in the Videna.
Construction of Grandstands
The construction works comprise main grandstands for about 1500 spectators at the softball stadium; the roofing of the administrative offices, bathrooms, showers, dressing rooms, and compaction works of the main field; as well as the warm-up field and the installations of the supports for lighting posts to practice this sport at night.
In addition, the baseball stadium, for more than 1500 spectators, includes the construction works of the main field and the central grandstand and shows some progress in the lateral grandstands, dressing rooms and showers. It also includes the construction of the Basque pelota and fronton courts.
Moreover, the main and warm-up fields of the hockey and rugby stadiums have been compacted and their main grandstands and structures for their respective administrative offices have already been built.
This great sports center will also host archery during the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. This venue will have an administration building for all permanent federations, a Video and Surveillance Control Center, and parking areas. This building is in the last stage of construction.
It is important to stress the installation of a new perimeter fence around the Villa María del Triunfo Sports Center, with pre-fabricated concrete elements, as well as the progress in the sanitary works and the electrical system in all stadiums.
